Khalida Boufedèche Meets Palestinian Envoy on Solidarity

The President of Algeria's National People's Assembly (APN), Khalida Boufedèche, recently received the Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Algeria, Fayez Abu Aita. The meeting, which also included APN Vice-President Monder Bouden, served to reiterate the deep historical and fraternal bonds uniting the Algerian and Palestinian peoples and countries. A statement from the lower house of Parliament highlighted Algeria's consistent stance in favor of the Palestinian cause.

During their discussion, both parties emphasized Algeria's unwavering support for the Palestinian people in their legitimate struggle to reclaim all national rights. This includes the fundamental right to establish an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital. Furthermore, the officials underlined the critical need to intensify international efforts aimed at halting violations and aggressions, safeguarding civilians, and ensuring the delivery of humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian population.

The meeting also explored the vital role of parliamentary friendship groups in strengthening fraternity and solidarity between the two nations' populations. The two legislative institutions discussed enhancing consultation, exchanging expertise and experiences, and collaborating on matters of mutual interest. Such parliamentary engagement is seen as instrumental in bolstering the presence of the Palestinian cause and advancing efforts to publicize and defend the rights of the Palestinian people across various international parliamentary forums.
