Air Algérie to Launch Direct Flights to Shanghai and New Delhi

Air Algérie is poised to significantly strengthen its presence in Asia with the planned launch of two new direct flight routes from its Algiers hub. The national airline will introduce services to Shanghai, China, and New Delhi, India, adding to its existing Asian network which already includes destinations such as Beijing and Guangzhou in China, and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. This expansion reflects a strategic move to tap into promising markets and enhance Algeria's global connectivity.
The new route to Shanghai is scheduled to commence on October 26, offering three weekly flights. Air Algérie will deploy an Airbus A330-900neo aircraft for these services, operating every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Tickets for the Alger-Shanghai route are already available for booking through the airline's platform, signaling readiness for the upcoming launch of this unprecedented connection.
Similarly, Air Algérie will begin flights to New Delhi, India, starting October 25. This route will also operate three times a week, utilizing an A330-900neo, with services scheduled for every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. The launch of this new line has been confirmed by the Indian Ambassador to Algeria, who highlighted its potential to strengthen relations, boost tourist activity, and increase commercial exchanges between the two nations.
