Compensation Decisions Issued to July Fire Victims

The distribution of compensation decisions has commenced for Algerian citizens affected by forest fires in several wilayas during July. This initiative follows directives from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, with the goal of finalizing the compensation process for all affected individuals by August 31, 2026, as confirmed by a statement from the Ministry of Interior, Local Authorities, and Urban Planning.

This swift action implements the President's instructions to complete indemnifications within the specified timeframe. Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and Urban Planning, Saïd Saayoud, has also provided guidance to accelerate the implementation of compensation measures and ensure support for those impacted. The compensation decisions are based on field assessments and evaluations of damages and losses recorded from both forest fires and agricultural crop fires.

The operation reflects the public authorities' commitment to assisting affected citizens by enabling them to receive their determined compensations promptly. This underscores efforts to streamline procedures and ensure the completion of the entire compensation process by the presidential deadline.
