New AI, Digital Programs for Guelma 8 Mai 1945 University

The University 8 Mai 1945 of Guelma is set to introduce seven new specializations focusing on Artificial Intelligence, digital, and advanced technologies for the 2026-2027 academic year. This expansion, announced by Rector Mahmoud Debabeche, is part of a broader effort to align higher education with the rapid evolution in these crucial fields, aiming to cultivate skilled professionals vital for Algeria's economic and technological transition.

Among the new offerings, the university will provide a Bachelor's degree in e-economy and data analysis. The Master's level includes two new specializations: data science, and partial differential equations and their applications. Furthermore, four new engineering specializations will be available, covering areas such as the design of mechanical systems and structures, civil and industrial data, chemical operations engineering, and plant protection alongside agricultural sciences.

This diversification of academic programs is strategically designed to meet the emerging demands of the job market and to strengthen competencies within sectors deemed critical for national development. By focusing on cutting-edge disciplines, the University 8 Mai 1945 of Guelma aims to equip students with the expertise necessary to contribute significantly to Algeria's ongoing digital transformation and economic growth.
