Desalination Plants Maintain High Efficiency for Water Security

The Algerian Water Desalination Company, a subsidiary of the Sonatrach group, has affirmed that its seawater desalination plants, including the Fouka 1 facility, are operating with high levels of efficiency, readiness, and productivity. This performance ensures the continuous supply of potable water to the nation, reinforcing Algeria's commitment to water security. The company highlighted that these plants have maintained optimal operation, notably avoiding any fluctuations in potable water supply throughout the recent summer season.

The company specified that any partial and temporary reductions in production, whether at Fouka 1 or other affiliated plants, are minimal in volume and duration, typically not exceeding 24 hours. These technical interventions are pre-scheduled and transparent, allowing for necessary arrangements with distribution partners. Such planned maintenance ensures that the overall national water supply system remains unaffected, underscoring the company's meticulous operational planning.

Through a scientific and systematic approach, the Algerian Water Desalination Company has deployed its full human and technical capabilities to guarantee uninterrupted water production and supply. The consistent high performance of these desalination facilities is a direct result of extensive preparations and proactive measures implemented to manage peak consumption periods effectively. The company reaffirms its unwavering dedication to enhancing Algeria's water security and sustaining this vital public service for its citizens.
