Algerian participants have distinguished themselves at the 46th King Abdulaziz International Quran Competition held in Mecca, securing top positions in the prestigious event. The competition saw significant success for Algeria, with two individuals earning high honors on the international stage.
Jumana Shraitiyah achieved first place in the women's category, demonstrating exceptional skill and dedication. Concurrently, Zakaria Fettal earned the second-place position in the men's category of the same competition, which took place in 2026. Fettal represented Algeria in the full Quran memorization branch, including proficient performance, intonation, and interpretation.
