Benbouali Completes Transfer to Egyptian Club Pyramids FC

Algerian international footballer Ahmed Nadhir Benbouali has officially completed his transfer to Egyptian club Pyramids FC. The 26-year-old striker joins from Hungarian champions Győr ETO, with Pyramids FC reportedly disbursing €1.75 million for his services. The Egyptian club confirmed his arrival on Tuesday.
Benbouali's move follows a particularly successful season in Hungary, where he scored 19 goals across all competitions, including 15 in the league, significantly contributing to Győr ETO's championship victory. His new team, Pyramids FC, is set to compete in the African Champions League, a factor reportedly influencing his decision to pursue his career in Egypt.
At Pyramids FC, Benbouali will play under the guidance of South African coach Rhulani Mokwena, who has prior experience with Algerian football, having previously managed Mouloudia d'Alger. The Egyptian club announced the acquisition of the Algerian "warrior" through an AI-generated video, and Benbouali is also set to benefit from an attractive salary at his new club.
