SADR Prime Minister Reaffirms Sahrawi Self-Determination

Bouchraya Hamoudi Bayoun, Prime Minister of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), has firmly reiterated the Sahrawi people's unyielding right to self-determination and independence. Speaking at the conclusion of the 14th edition of the Summer University for Sahrawi Cadres, Mr. Bayoun underscored that any resolution to the conflict must receive the approval of the Sahrawi people. He stressed that solutions not aligned with international legitimacy would neither lead to a final resolution nor achieve stability in the region, affirming the Sahrawi people's sovereignty over their land.

During his address, the SADR Prime Minister extended his gratitude to the Algerian National Committee for Solidarity with the Sahrawi People, and to Algeria's government and populace, under the leadership of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. Mr. Bayoun highlighted that the Summer University served as an intellectual platform for developing Sahrawi cadres' knowledge and as a testament to the profound relationship between the Algerian and Sahrawi peoples and states. He further noted that the event exemplified Algeria's steadfast support for the Sahrawi people's struggle for freedom and independence, while commending Algeria's diplomatic, economic, and military standing.

Mr. Bayoun also pointed out that the Sahrawi cause has garnered significant attention from the United Nations General Assembly and Security Council since the mid-20th century. He concluded by asserting that Sahrawis, across various fronts of their struggle, would not abandon their objectives of achieving freedom, relying on the justice of their cause and the support of their friends and allies, with Algeria at the forefront. The Prime Minister reaffirmed the Sahrawi side's commitment to maintaining its covenant and loyalty to Algeria until a decisive victory is achieved.
