Malian Prime Minister and Tebboune Pledge Sahel Peace, Free from Terrorism

Malian Prime Minister Abdoulaye Maiga's recent visit to Algiers marked a significant step in regional diplomacy, where he met with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. Following their discussions on August 25, 2026, both nations affirmed a shared conviction to transform the Sahel region into an "oasis of peace," specifically free from neocolonialism, domination, and terrorism.
