Prophet’s Biography Prize Details 3.25 Million DZD Award

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has established the 'Algeria Prize for the Biography of the Prophet', an initiative aimed at fostering deeper engagement with Islamic heritage. The prize, detailed in a recent presidential decree published in the Official Gazette, seeks to encourage the study of Prophet Muhammad's biography and qualities. A core objective is to promote the memorization and understanding of the noble Hadith across various age groups within Algerian society, with a particular focus on instilling prophetic values in the youth.

The prize highlights the Algerian state's commitment and the broader public interest in the Prophet's biography and Hadith. It will be awarded to top performers in a series of national and international competitions. These include an annual national encouraging competition for young memorizers of Hadith, an annual national competition for Hadith memorization, and an international competition held every three years, also focused on Hadith memorization. A dedicated national week for the Prophet's noble biography will precede the award ceremony, with prizes presented during the month of Muharram.

Winners of the 'Algeria Prize for the Biography of the Prophet' will receive both a certificate of appreciation and substantial financial rewards. In the encouraging competition for young memorizers, the first-place winner will receive 500,000 DZD, the second 350,000 DZD, and the third 200,000 DZD. For the national competition for senior memorizers, the awards are 1,000,000 DZD for first place, 750,000 DZD for second, and 500,000 DZD for third. The most significant rewards are for the international competition, where the first-place winner will be granted 3,250,000 DZD, the second 2,500,000 DZD, and the third 1,500,000 DZD, underscoring the prize's significant scale.
