National Bus Program Delivers Modern Buses to 16 Wilayas

The second phase of Algeria's national program to reinforce and renew its urban and semi-urban bus fleet is currently in progress, according to a statement from the Ministry of Interior, Local Communities, and Transport. This phase involves the distribution of modern buses, designed with various capacities to meet adopted standards, throughout 16 wilayas. The primary objective is to enhance transport conditions and elevate the quality of service provided to citizens across these regions.

This initiative is a direct implementation of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune's decision to renew the national transport fleet with 10,000 new buses. The operation is being carried out under the close supervision and monitoring of Said Sayoud, the Minister of Interior, Local Communities, and Transport. The current phase follows an initial stage that saw new buses distributed to the wilayas of Algiers, Oran, Constantine, and Annaba.

The second phase extends the program's reach to Chlef, Bouira, Tlemcen, Tizi Ouzou, Saida, Sidi Bel Abbes, Medea, Mascara, Boumerdes, Ain Defla, Batna, Biskra, Djelfa, Skikda, El Tarf, and El Oued. This comprehensive effort is integral to the broader national program aimed at strengthening and modernizing the public transport fleet, ensuring that transport lines are equipped with contemporary buses that address the evolving needs of the populace and significantly improve urban and semi-urban transport services nationwide.
