Wilayas Mobilize Extensive Aid for Jijel Fire-Affected Families

Solidarity convoys carrying diverse in-kind assistance have arrived in Jijel, providing crucial support to families affected by recent wildfires. These efforts reflect a broad national outpouring of public solidarity, complemented by initiatives from key national bodies such as the Ministry of National Solidarity, Family and Women's Issues and the Algerian Red Crescent.

Aid convoys from several wilayas, including Batna and Sétif, have delivered significant quantities of essential provisions. From Batna, aid encompassed medical supplies, medicines, mineral water, food items, and bedding. Similarly, residents of El Eulma in Sétif wilaya quickly organized collections of basic food, water, bedding, and blankets, loading large quantities of these donations for swift dispatch to the fire-affected regions to alleviate suffering.

The Ministry of National Solidarity, Family and Women's Issues launched its own aid convoys as part of immediate response measures tailored to the urgent needs of affected families. Beyond material aid, these efforts also included mechanisms for psychological and social support for residents. Concurrently, Algerian Red Crescent teams have maintained operations in Tahir municipality, distributing aid, providing drinking water, and delivering vital medicines and medical supplies to Mohamed Seddik Ben Yahya Hospital to assist injured individuals and those involved in the firefighting efforts.
