Last week, the Ministry of Culture and Arts announced the list of artistic projects approved for financial assistance for the year 2024, totaling 118 projects in the fields of theater, music, choreography, visual arts, and the organization of workshops and events.
According to the ministry’s statement on Saturday, the list includes 40 theater projects for adults (57,300,000 DZD), 30 theater projects for children (25,600,000 DZD), and 30 projects for workshops and events (48,400,000 DZD). Additionally, 7 music projects (3,900,000 DZD), 4 choreographic projects (6,600,000 DZD), and 7 visual arts projects (7,200,000 DZD) have been approved.
The ministry emphasized that these projects are a continuation of the process of supporting artistic projects for the fiscal year 2024, aimed at those with artistic initiatives.
The ministry also highlighted the focus on projects from “promising youth with innovative and contemporary ideas by prioritizing cultural cooperatives, which we aim to become micro cultural institutions, especially as we are on the verge of issuing the regulatory text for the basic law of cooperatives.”
