Algerian and Tunisian Health Ministers Meet in Geneva to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Algeria’s Health Minister Mohamed Seddik Ait Messaoudene met in Geneva with his Tunisian counterpart Mustafa Farjani on the sidelines of the 79th World Health Assembly, in talks exclusively confirmed to dzwatch, focusing on deepening health sector partnership between the two brotherly nations.

The two ministers discussed digital transformation in healthcare, modernization of health management systems, and expansion of pharmaceutical market cooperation to ensure adequate medicine supply across both countries.

They also addressed organ transplantation cooperation through medical expertise exchange and joint training programs, alongside promoting scientific mobility and knowledge-sharing between health and research institutions.

Both sides agreed to accelerate the establishment of a Joint Health Cooperation Committee to translate shared ambitions into concrete projects, reaffirming Algeria and Tunisia’s commitment to solidarity and integrated bilateral development.
