Algeria’s Ambassador to Washington, Sabri Boukadoum, held a high-level working session with Donald Trump’s Senior Advisor for Arab and African Affairs, Massad Boulos, in the presence of the US Embassy’s Chargé d’Affaires in Algeria, Mark Shapiro.
Boulos told dzwatch that discussions centered on expanding American investment in Algeria’s energy sector and other key industries, while also addressing ways to strengthen the US-Algeria security partnership and advance regional cooperation.
The senior advisor highlighted the successful visit of the US Deputy Secretary of State and AFRICOM Commander General Anderson to Algeria, noting that over 120 American companies are currently operating inside the country — a testament to the growing economic ties between both nations.
Boulos emphasized that the United States deeply values Algeria’s pivotal and sustained diplomatic efforts to promote peace and stability across the region, including its constructive role in pushing for a consensual resolution to the Western Sahara issue in line with UN Security Council Resolution 2797, stating that “the time has come to reach a solution.”
