The Blida Transport Directorate has announced a new system for issuing seasonal permits for beach transportation for the 2026 summer season. This innovative approach, revealed Thursday, will operate on an alternation principle among transporters, marking a significant shift from previous practices.

According to Transport Director Kessar Bensaâd, this formula, adopted for the first time in the wilaya, aims to benefit the widest possible number of professionals in the seasonal activity. It also ensures the continuity of service on regular routes, preventing disruptions to citizen travel.
Another key decision allows tourist lines to operate throughout the entire summer season, a departure from previous years when permits were restricted to specific periods or only weekends. The Blida Transport Directorate has already begun receiving and reviewing applications from passenger transport operators eager to serve various tourist and leisure destinations across the country, ensuring comfortable travel for citizens this summer.
Mr. Kessar specified that these permits cover routes to beaches in neighboring wilayas, as well as thermal stations, leisure parks, and public gardens popular during the summer. There is no limit to the number of benefiting transporters, with participation open to all professionals meeting regulatory conditions.
This new system has been met with positive reception from transporters, who appreciate the flexibility it offers and the enhanced opportunities for summer operations. It is expected to significantly improve the transport services available to holidaymakers and families in the region.
