President Tebboune Inaugurates Algeria’s National Center for Digital Services

President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune inaugurated, this Sunday, the Algerian National Center for Digital Services, located in Mohammadia, Algiers.

The Algerian National Center for Digital Services is a strategic achievement that reflects the State’s commitment to strengthening its digital sovereignty and building a modern, secure digital infrastructure.

The center is the first of its kind in Algeria. It is based on two highly available national data centers operating in a synchronized mode to ensure uninterrupted service availability.

The Algerian National Center for Digital Services is considered a key pillar for hosting data within the national territory, ensuring the continuity of digital services, and enabling interoperability between different sectors. This contributes to consolidating digital transformation and improving the efficiency of public services for the benefit of citizens.

The center was designed in accordance with the latest international standards in construction, security, and operational resilience for data centers. It operates according to an “active-active” model, ensuring continuous monitoring, efficient operation, and the operational readiness of network infrastructure, information systems, cloud computing platforms, data facilities, the national public services portal, and the national database.

The center is also responsible for managing the technical infrastructure, ensuring service availability, and maintaining business continuity. This is achieved through advanced centralized monitoring and control systems, along with approved operational procedures and work standards that allow the proactive detection and resolution of faults and disruptions.

In addition, the center is tasked with managing technical incidents and problems, as well as carrying out corrective, remedial, and preventive interventions.
