Capital’s Urban Green Plan Progresses with Dunia Park Works

The rehabilitation and modernization works at Algiers' Parc des Grands Vents, also known as Dunia Park, are reportedly making significant progress. This extensive project forms an integral part of the 'Green Plan,' which outlines a strategic vision for the development and modernization of the capital city.

The ongoing efforts encompass both the northern and southern sections of the park. In the northern area, an artificial lake is under construction, alongside new facilities for sports and recreation, dedicated parking zones, and overhead passages designed to connect the northern and southern parts of the park. Concurrently, the southern section is seeing continued development of its pathways and trails, alongside intensified afforestation initiatives and the creation of a second artificial lake.

This comprehensive undertaking aims to substantially enhance the capital's green spaces and expand its recreational and leisure areas. By improving the urban environment and providing suitable communal spaces, the project is set to offer enhanced amenities and a better quality of life for citizens in Algiers.
