Non-Hydrocarbon Exports Target $30 Billion Goal

Algeria's export sector is experiencing a positive and accelerating transformation, marked by a gradual improvement and increase in export volume. This progress aligns with the national goal of achieving $30 billion in non-hydrocarbon exports, a target deemed achievable and fostered by the President's vision and directives. Algerian economic operators are performing excellently, with their goods reaching approximately 60 countries worldwide, while the National Association of Algerian Exporters (NAAE) actively operates in a similar number of foreign markets.

Strategic initiatives are underway to further strengthen Algeria's presence in global markets. Upcoming trade exhibitions in various African countries and Russia are planned, with a detailed program anticipated in September from the Ministry of Foreign Trade. These efforts aim to penetrate new markets across Africa and Asia, including a notable focus on the Libyan market due to high demand for Algerian products. Algeria holds an advanced position in several key sectors within African and neighboring countries, including ceramics, various raw materials, iron and steel, plastics, cement, pharmaceutical and parapharmaceutical products, and foodstuffs.
