Jumana Charaïtia, Safaa Ben Yahya Win Mecca Quran Competition

Algerian participants achieved significant success at the 46th King Abdulaziz International Quran Competition in Mecca, securing three awards. Jumana Charaïtia and Safaa Iman Ben Yahya each earned a first-place finish, while Zakaria Fettal secured a second-place position, highlighting Algeria's strong presence in international Quranic events.

Jumana Charaïtia distinguished herself by winning first place in the women's category for memorizing the entire Holy Quran with excellent performance and recitation, specifically adhering to the seven frequent readings of Al-Shatibiyyah. This notable achievement occurred within the women's section, which was organized for the first time in the competition's history. Safaa Iman Ben Yahya also secured a first-place award in the women's section for complete Quran memorization with excellent performance and recitation.

The Algerian delegation's success extended to the men's category, where Zakaria Fettal achieved second place. His award was in the branch dedicated to memorizing the entire Quran with excellent performance, recitation, and interpretation. These multiple successes underscore the exceptional training and proficiency of Algerian Quran memorizers.

Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Dr. Youssef Belmehdi, congratulated the Algerian representatives on their commendable results.
