National Office Supplies Affordable Chicken to Citizens

The National Office of Livestock Feed (ONAB) has confirmed the widespread availability of significant quantities of frozen chicken across the national market. This initiative is being implemented through 143 dedicated sales points affiliated with ONAB, strategically distributed throughout various regions of Algeria. The primary goal of this extensive distribution effort is to contribute to price regulation and ensure that citizens have access to chicken at a controlled and affordable price.
Officials have indicated that the frozen chicken is being offered at a uniform price of 350 DZD per kilogram. This distribution operation is notably timed to coincide with the approaching celebration of Mawlid al-Nabi, with quantities being gradually and consistently supplied on a daily basis. The distribution network encompasses all sales points linked to the ONAB complex across various wilayas, including those in the East, Center, and West, with the Agricultural Products Regulation Company (SARPA) also participating in the process.
Furthermore, ONAB has assured that all frozen chicken marketed by its complex meets the established health standards. Veterinary services associated with the complex are responsible for daily monitoring of the product, ensuring its full compliance with all required health conditions. This continuous oversight reinforces the commitment to maintaining public health and safety throughout the supply chain.
