New CPA Program Supports Public Passenger Bus Acquisition

The Crédit Populaire d'Algérie (CPA) has launched a new financing formula specifically designed for professionals operating in public passenger transport. This initiative forms an integral part of a broader program established by public authorities, aimed at supporting the modernization and renewal of the national bus fleet, particularly targeting vehicles that have exceeded 25 years of service.
The financing offer is available to both natural and legal persons holding valid licenses for public collective transport activities. It enables the acquisition of new vehicles from approved suppliers, providing substantial financial support. The program covers up to 90% of the total acquisition price, inclusive of all taxes, requiring a personal contribution of no less than 10% from the applicant.
Under the terms outlined by CPA, the repayment period for the loan can extend up to 10 years, offering flexibility to beneficiaries. Additionally, the financing package includes a grace period of six months before repayments commence, and features an interest rate of 5.5 percent, excluding tax. CPA has invited all interested public transport professionals to visit its dedicated agencies for further information and tailored support aligned with their specific projects.
