Local Authorities Intensify Investor Support, Project Realization
Local authorities throughout various wilayas in Algeria are actively enhancing their efforts to foster and advance investment. This involves providing dedicated support to investors, aiming to expedite the completion of projects and facilitate their operational launch. A key objective of these initiatives is to address and dismantle various obstacles that project owners might encounter during the investment process.
These current actions are being undertaken in direct implementation of directives from Algeria's higher authorities and specific instructions issued by Said Sayoud, the Minister of Interior, Local Communities, and Transport. Minister Sayoud has underscored the necessity of ensuring all suitable conditions are available for the realization of investment projects, emphasizing proactive accompaniment for investors and direct engagement with their concerns on the ground. To this end, wilaya committees responsible for monitoring investment projects are holding regular sessions to assess project statuses and resolve associated files and issues, ensuring that procedural requirements are met and projects can proceed to operation.
In conjunction with these committee meetings, local authorities have increased field visits to ongoing investment projects and engaging directly with project holders. These visits allow officials to closely observe work progress, identify any recorded concerns or needs on-site, and implement necessary measures to accelerate the pace of completion. Furthermore, local authorities are strengthening direct communication channels with investors, organizing periodic reception sessions to listen to their input and intervene to eliminate barriers that might impede the timely realization of their projects. This comprehensive approach is designed to support productive investment, generate real added value, invigorate local economic activity, and significantly contribute to wealth creation and the establishment of new employment opportunities.
