Air Algérie Initiates Global Tender for Fleet Heavy Maintenance

Air Algérie, through its Aircraft Maintenance and Repair division, has launched an international tender to identify and pre-select specialized providers for the heavy maintenance of multiple aircraft types in its operational fleet. The initiative aims to establish a restricted list of Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) centers capable of performing extensive Heavy Maintenance Visit operations, which are crucial interventions for aircraft upkeep.

The tender encompasses three distinct categories of aircraft currently operated by the national carrier. These include the Airbus A330-200, various models of the Boeing 737 series (specifically the 737-800, 737-700, and 737-600), and the ATR 72-500 and ATR 72-600. This broad scope ensures that maintenance needs are addressed across different generations and capacities of aircraft, from long-haul airliners to those primarily used on the company's extensive network.

Prospective candidates are invited to submit offers for one or several of the specified aircraft types, provided they possess the necessary capabilities to execute the demanding maintenance operations. Interested companies must first obtain the tender document and can seek additional information from Air Algérie's Aircraft Maintenance and Repair division via email. Subsequently, offers are to be submitted electronically, adhering to the detailed modalities outlined in the tender notice.

This strategic procedure underscores Air Algérie's commitment to maintaining the serviceability and operational excellence of its fleet. By engaging specialized international providers for these heavy maintenance requirements, the airline ensures the sustained reliability and safety of its aircraft, which is vital for efficient air transport and the continued confidence of its passengers.
