President Tebboune Declares Three Days of National Mourning for Fire Victims

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has announced a three-day period of national mourning following the loss of several citizens in wildfires that affected various central and eastern wilayas of the nation. This significant state response reflects deep empathy for the victims and their families.

During this period of national mourning, flags will be lowered across all national territory, signifying a collective expression of grief. Furthermore, all planned celebrations and national sports competitions have been canceled, demonstrating a unified solemnity throughout the country.

President Tebboune conveyed a message of condolence to the families of those affected by the fires. The declaration of national mourning, issued today, Thursday, underscores the state's profound solidarity with the communities impacted by this tragedy.
