Gharib Meets Jijel Wildfire Families, Reaffirms State Support

Prime Minister Seifi Gharib held a direct meeting with several families of wildfire victims in Jijel province today. This encounter took place at the cultural center of Djemaa Beni Habibi municipality. Mr. Gharib conveyed the sincere condolences of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to the affected families, expressing the President's full support and solidarity during this difficult time.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Gharib reaffirmed the state's unwavering determination to support and accompany the families, assuring them that their concerns would be addressed. He also emphasized the commitment to implement all necessary measures and procedures to alleviate the impact of the tragedy. The Prime Minister attentively listened to the families' specific needs and concerns, promising that public authorities would provide comprehensive care and attention, working to resolve these issues promptly.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Gharib, accompanied by several government members including the Minister of Interior, Transport, Health, and the Director General of Civil Protection, participated in the funeral rites for the victims in Djemaa Beni Habibi. These ceremonies, held at Dar El Baqa cemetery, were marked by profound sadness, attended by the victims' families, local authorities, and a large public gathering. Jijel province was among the areas most severely impacted by the extensive wildfires that broke out across several wilayas last Wednesday.
