Slovenian Parliament Speaker Arrives in Algeria for Official Visit

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, Urška Klakočar Zupančič, has arrived in Algeria for a three-day official visit. She was received by the Speaker of the People’s National Assembly, Ibrahim Boughali, who had extended an official invitation to her as part of efforts to strengthen the excellent relations between the two legislative bodies.

Boughali was accompanied during the reception ceremony by his deputy, Monder Bouden, as well as the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and the Community, Mohamed H’Juan, and the President of the Algeria-Slovenia Parliamentary Friendship Group, Maria Amraoui.

The visit is seen as an opportunity to further enhance the excellent relations between the two countries and to explore ways to promote joint cooperation in various fields. Zupančič is also expected to hold talks with the speakers of both chambers of parliament and meet with several senior government officials during her stay in Algeria.
