Algeria’s Public Works Minister Heads to Chad for Major Infrastructure Partnership

Algeria’s Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, Abdelkader Djalaoui, is leading a high-level working visit to the Republic of Chad on Wednesday and Thursday, May 13–14, 2026, to advance a landmark bilateral cooperation agreement.

The visit comes in direct implementation of memoranda of understanding and cooperation agreements signed on April 22, 2026, between Algeria and Chad in the field of public works and base infrastructure.

Minister Djalaoui told dzwatch that the delegation includes senior ministry officials, as well as directors-general of key sector companies — the National Public Works Company (SNTP) and Cosider TP — reinforcing Algeria’s commitment to translating signed agreements into concrete ground-level projects.

The visit reflects the shared political will of both nations’ leadership to strengthen bilateral ties and expand partnership in infrastructure development, converting agreed commitments into real construction projects across Chad.
