Air Algérie, Oman Airports Sign Service Development Pact

Air Algérie Group and Oman Airports have formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance and develop their partnership in air services. The agreement specifically targets ground handling and other services associated with air activities, signifying a concerted effort to optimize operational efficiencies and broaden collaborative ventures within the aviation sector. The signing ceremony was overseen by Mr. Nasser Ben Ahmed Chergui, the CEO of Air Algérie Group, alongside the Chief Executive Officer of Oman Airports.
This strategic move is integral to the ongoing dynamic cooperation between the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria and the Sultanate of Oman. It also serves to implement an executive cooperation program focused on transport, logistics, and digitalization, which was previously signed during the first half of 2026. The MoU is designed to explore opportunities that will elevate service quality, enrich the passenger experience, and investigate specialized cooperation in air cargo. Furthermore, the partnership facilitates the exchange of valuable expertise, experiences, and professional practices between the two entities.
The collaboration aligns with Air Algérie Group's broader development vision, which emphasizes expanding its partnerships with international stakeholders in the aviation industry and related service sectors. By leveraging mutual expertise, both parties aim to serve their common interests and foster sustainable growth. A key aspect of this memorandum is the strengthening of air connectivity between Algeria and Oman, notably through the potential renewal of the Algiers-Muscat air route in 2027. This initiative underscores Air Algérie Group's commitment to forging sustainable, value-added partnerships that support the advancement of air service systems and bolster the group's standing regionally and internationally.
