Franco-Moroccan Tourist Shares Positive Algeria Impressions

An international visitor, a Franco-Moroccan tourist accompanied by her Franco-Algerian husband and young son, chose Algeria for her recent summer vacation, sharing highly positive impressions of her journey. After spending several days exploring Algiers, where she engaged in numerous cultural and culinary discoveries, she continued her travels towards the western part of the country, including a stop in Aïn Témouchent before reaching Oran, a significant coastal city popular with summer tourists.
During her time in the capital, the traveler experienced a rich cultural immersion, visiting iconic sites such as the ancient Casbah and the Monument des Martyrs. She also extensively explored various trendy and gourmet establishments, documenting her experiences with restaurants, tea rooms, and beauty institutes on her social media platforms. The tourist expressed reluctance to depart Algiers, particularly after dining at Le Monégasque restaurant, where she lauded the diversity of its menu, which included Japanese, French, and traditional dishes. She highlighted the enjoyment of items like makis, risotto, grilled shrimp, gambas, couscous, and paella, emphasizing the freshness of ingredients and generous portion sizes.
Continuing her culinary exploration in Oran, the visitor dedicated a day to tasting local specialties. She sampled "karantika," a dish she recognized, but stated that the version in Oran was "the best she had ever eaten." For dessert, she tried a "spécial" sandwich, prepared with beignets (khfaf) and kalb el louz, which initially intrigued her but quickly became a favorite, prompting an exclamation of delight. Her documented experiences consistently showcased a profound appreciation for Algerian culture and gastronomy throughout her vacation.
