Six memorandums of understanding were signed between Algeria and Tanzania.

  • The fifth session of the Joint Cooperation Committee between Algeria and the United Republic of Tanzania concluded on August 1, 2023. The session was held from July 30 to August 1, 2023.
  • A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the two sides signed six memorandums of understanding, two agreements, and an executive program covering the following areas: trade, energy, higher education, archives, arts, and diplomatic training.
  • The memorandums of understanding and agreements cover a wide range of issues, including:
    • The establishment of a joint trade commission
    • The cooperation in the field of energy, including the development of renewable energy sources
    • The cooperation in the field of higher education, including the exchange of students and professors
    • The cooperation in the field of archives, including the digitization of archival documents
    • The cooperation in the field of arts, including the organization of cultural events
    • The cooperation in the field of diplomatic training, including the exchange of diplomats
