The US Navy’s fast transport ship, the USNS TRENTON, docked at the port of Algiers on March 22 and 23, 2024. According to a statement from the Ministry of Defense, this stopover is part of the various activities aimed at embodying Algerian-American military cooperation in the maritime domain.
During its stay, the offshore tug “Al Munjid” with hull number 701 participated in the “PASSEX” exercise alongside the fast transport ship, conducted in the central maritime front of the first military region. This activity aims to enhance joint operational cooperation and exchange expertise between the Algerian and American naval forces.
