Today, at the Government Palace, Prime Minister Nazir Al Arabawi received the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Armando Figuera Bueno, who paid a farewell visit on the occasion of the completion of his mission in Algeria.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, the meeting provided an opportunity to assess the current state of bilateral relations and their future prospects, in light of the outcomes of the discussions held by President Abdelmajid Tebboune with Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel during his visit to Algeria in November 2022. The aim was to give a strong impetus to the strategic partnership and bilateral cooperation in various fields, particularly in the economic sphere.
Both sides highly appreciated the alignment of their positions on regional and international issues of mutual interest, especially regarding the Palestinian cause and the necessity to support efforts aimed at halting Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, particularly in the Gaza Strip.
