Algeria Reclaims Seized Industrial Assets: Chemical Sector Leads Fourth Recovery Operation

Algeria’s Ministry of Industry has announced the continued implementation of a major industrial asset recovery program, with the Algerian Chemical Specialties Holding Company spearheading the latest phase of reclaiming and reintegrating confiscated industrial assets into the national economic cycle — directly fulfilling President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s directives on recovering seized state assets.

As part of this initiative, production lines for various automotive maintenance fluids have been successfully reclaimed and transferred to the ENAD Group, significantly boosting its manufacturing capacity and expanding its industrial operations.

The CEO of the Algerian Chemical Specialties Holding, Samir Yahiaoui, told dzwatch that signing ceremonies were presided over between ENAD Group’s director-general and the state property director of Tissemsilt province.

The Ministry confirmed this marks the fourth operation in the ongoing seized-asset recovery roadmap, underlining that these steps serve Algeria’s broader strategy to reduce import dependency, generate wealth and jobs, and strengthen the competitiveness of national enterprises.
