The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) announced on Sunday that the president of a team has filed a complaint with the judiciary council regarding defamation and match-fixing allegations.
According to a statement from the FAF, this action led to the opening of a case by both the disciplinary committee of the league between entities and the integrity officer of the Algerian Football Federation.
In accordance with Algerian laws and considering the initiation of a judicial investigation into the matter, the Federation will act as a civil party through the league between entities.
The Algerian Football Federation emphasized its commitment to ensuring compliance with the laws and regulations governing Algerian and international football, maintaining sportsmanship and ethical standards both on and off the field, and punishing any behavior contrary to the spirit of sportsmanship.
In the same context, the Algerian Football Federation is closely following the case with the judiciary and will take necessary actions based on the results of the investigations.
