Algiers – A coordinating meeting was held on Wednesday at the headquarters of the Algerian Football Federation (FAF), bringing together members of the federation and representatives of women’s football clubs participating in the National First Division, according to a statement released by FAF on its official website.
The meeting was chaired by Rafika Ghelati, a member of the FAF executive committee and president of the Women’s Football Committee, alongside National Technical Director Amer Mensoul and President of the National Women’s Football League, Djamel Kassahi. Representatives from 12 women’s clubs attended the meeting, which was described as “an opportunity for club representatives to voice their concerns and challenges,” according to the same source.
The statement added that “FAF officials listened attentively to these concerns, discussing various topics and presenting solutions and suggestions in an effort to advance women’s football at the club level and ensure the smooth functioning of the league.” It is worth noting that the Akbou Women’s Club dominated last season by securing a treble, winning the National Championship, League Cup, and Algerian Cup.
