Algeria Telecom Wins International Award at WSIS Forum 2026

Algeria Telecom has been awarded international recognition during the World Summit on the Information Society Forum 2026, known as WSIS Forum 2026, for its project “AI for Digital Inclusion.” The project, developed by Hachemi Ibrahim Abdelhak, stood out among 1,595 projects submitted from 122 countries.

According to a statement issued by the company, the project received a certificate of appreciation from the International Telecommunication Union, ITU, after being selected among the winning initiatives in the Information and Communication Infrastructure category. This recognition highlights the project’s contribution to supporting digital transformation and promoting the objectives of sustainable development.

The award ceremony took place during the WSIS Forum, held in Geneva from July 6 to 10, 2026. The certificate was signed by ITU Secretary-General Doreen Bogdan-Martin, giving the achievement strong international value and visibility.
