Presidency Program Welcomes 89 Diaspora Children to Jijel

The final group of Algerian diaspora children, numbering no less than 89, arrived at Ferhat Abbas Airport in Jijel in the early hours of the morning. This initiative forms part of a program established by high authorities, specifically the Presidency of the Republic, with the aim of introducing these children to their homeland and strengthening their connection to the country of their ancestors. Accompanying the children were ten supervisors, and they were greeted by local officials from various bodies responsible for organizing such visits, including the Youth Institutions Office and the Directorate of Youth and Sports.
The children are receiving comprehensive care and have been transported to the Borj Blida Holiday Center in El Aouana, located west of the provincial capital. During their stay, which will last no less than ten days, the program includes excursions to various tourist attractions across the province. Additionally, a diverse educational and cultural agenda is in place to further enhance the children's bond with their native country, foster a sense of belonging, and acquaint them with Jijel’s enchanting tourist sites and discoverable assets.
This group marks the third and last contingent to arrive in Jijel this summer as part of the annual visits organized for Algerian diaspora children. Prior to this, Jijel had already hosted two other groups in stages over recent days, each enjoying a ten-day stay at the same Borj Blida camping and holiday center in El Aouana. These previous visits featured a variety of activities that garnered significant appreciation from the participating children.
