Chahids Mahmoudi Hospital Achieves First Algerian Qmentum Certification

Chahids Mahmoudi Hospital, a private facility located in Tizi-Ouzou, has achieved Qmentum International certification from Accreditation Canada. This marks a significant milestone as it is the first hospital in Algeria to receive this international accreditation from one of the world's most recognized healthcare quality assessment organizations. The hospital announced the successful attainment of the certification on Friday.

The endeavor to meet these global standards began in late 2023, engaging all teams within the institution. Efforts were concentrated on adhering to international benchmarks in critical areas such as patient safety, risk management, hygiene, infection prevention, and the competence of its staff. The comprehensive challenge was successfully met by Chahids Mahmoudi Hospital, which is recognized as the largest private hospital in Algeria.

According to a statement from the hospital, this achievement represents an important step in the development of the national health system. It positions Algeria among countries actively committed to global quality standards, enhancing patient trust in the healthcare system and fostering a dynamic of continuous improvement in care quality. This success is expected to inspire other Algerian health structures. Inaugurated in 2016 with an initial focus on cancer treatment, the hospital has since expanded its services to include numerous medical and surgical specialties.
