Exporters Gain Stronger Protection from New CAJEX Terms

The Algerian Company for Export Insurance and Guarantee (CAJEX) has introduced updated conditions for export insurance, aligning with new regulatory provisions from the Bank of Algeria concerning current international transactions and export financing. These measures reinforce CAJEX's commitment to supporting Algerian operators in securing their international commercial dealings.

Under the revised framework, a CAJEX guarantee is now required for transactions where the payment term granted to a non-resident client exceeds 120 days but does not extend beyond 180 days. This regulation, which also encompasses export financing operations, is designed to enhance the security of exporters' rights and elevate protection against the risks of non-collection of export values within agreed periods.

CAJEX offers its specialized expertise in market analysis, credit risk evaluation, and access to a comprehensive database of commercial information, alongside its network of partners across national and international markets. This comprehensive support empowers Algerian enterprises to more effectively secure their commercial transactions when engaging with foreign clients and markets, irrespective of the payment term. CAJEX confirms its continued provision of insurance coverage for transactions with payment terms under 120 days, allowing for tailored security based on each deal's nature and agreed payment schedules.

The company's teams are actively deployed nationwide to assist exporters in navigating optimal transaction conditions, particularly as Algeria progresses towards expanding its base of exporting companies and diversifying its global market presence. Guaranteeing credit risks is vital for exporters offering extended payment terms to international clients, as it substantially mitigates non-payment risks and strengthens a company's capacity for international growth while safeguarding its revenues.
