Five Innovative Projects Selected at Entrepreneurship Camp Conclusion

The National Summer Entrepreneurship Camp concluded Saturday evening in Algiers at the Sidi Abdellah University Pole. Organized by the Ministry of Youth in coordination with the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups, and Micro-enterprises, the camp hosted 250 young men and women from various border regions across Algeria. The initiative, which ran from August 18 to August 22, aimed to foster innovation and entrepreneurial spirit among the nation's youth.
During the closing ceremony, five projects were recognized as the best among those presented throughout the camp. These selected projects are slated to receive dedicated support to facilitate their implementation as micro-enterprises. The winning innovations include “Tarshidi,” an energy consumption monitoring system from Ouargla province, and “Avonix,” focusing on natural bacteria for cosmetics from Naâma province.
Further distinguished projects include “Compost” from El Oued province, which promotes the use of organic fertilizer, “Kidsbay” from Tébessa province, designed to assist parents in managing children's expenses, and “Sofiber Soap” from El Tarf province, which produces organic soap in sheet form. This selection highlights the diverse range of innovative ideas cultivated among the participants.
The camp's successful conclusion and the recognition of these youth-led initiatives underscore the government's commitment to empowering young entrepreneurs and stimulating economic development, particularly in Algeria's border regions. By providing a platform for innovation and offering structured support for new ventures, the program contributes to nurturing a vibrant ecosystem for start-ups and micro-enterprises nationwide.
