Civil Protection Services Continue Fire Control Efforts

Algerian Civil Protection services, in coordination with various mobilized departments and under the supervision of local authorities, continue intervention operations to extinguish forest fires recorded in the wilayas of Batna and Béjaïa. Significant human and material resources have been mobilized to limit the spread of these fires and safeguard lives and property.

In Batna, efforts are ongoing to extinguish the fire on Fakhra Mountain in the municipality of Merouana, which ignited in a difficult-to-access area. Civil Protection services have deployed their teams and necessary means, supported by forest services and National People's Army personnel. Aerial assistance has also been provided by two AT802 aircraft. Local authorities and members of the security committee have conducted field inspections to monitor the progress of intervention operations, as the mobilized teams persist in their efforts to control the blaze.

Similarly, in Béjaïa, operations continue to extinguish a fire reported in the Taqntoucht area of Kendira municipality. These efforts involve Civil Protection teams, the mobile column for forest fire fighting from both Béjaïa and Laghouat wilayas, and two Civil Protection AT802 aircraft. These interventions are part of an ongoing field mobilization by various services dedicated to combating forest fires and limiting their spread, with continuous oversight from local authorities and coordinated efforts ensuring the protection of citizens, property, and forest resources.
