Minister Adjal Guides Energy Partnership Review for Three Nations

Mourad Adjal, Algeria's Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, chaired a sectoral coordination committee meeting on Sunday at the Ministry's headquarters. The session focused on discussing and following up on various partnership and cooperation files with the Republic of Chad, the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, and the Republic of Benin. This initiative underscores Algeria's proactive engagement in strengthening its energy ties across the African continent.

During the meeting, attended by central ministry officials and representatives from the Sonelgaz complex, participants reviewed a series of presentations and topics. Discussions encompassed ongoing exchanges and consultations between the involved parties, along with evaluations of the progress of field projects currently under implementation and other dossiers undergoing study. The comprehensive agenda aimed to ensure a thorough assessment of existing and prospective energy collaboration.

Minister Adjal issued several directives to accelerate the processing of the relevant files and enhance coordination and consultation among the various related structures. He stressed the necessity of precise and regular follow-up on all projects to fulfill agreed commitments effectively. These instructions are designed to serve common interests and support the expansion of cooperation in the energy and renewable energies sector, aligning with Algeria's broader strategy to deepen its partnerships with African nations.

This approach is integral to Algeria's commitment to expanding energy cooperation with its African partners, fostering the exchange of expertise, services, and experiences. Such efforts are expected to pave the way for new projects and bolster the presence of Algerian institutions in African markets, thereby reinforcing regional economic integration and mutual development in the energy domain.
