IRIS JC Industrial, TRICERA Energy Partner for Algerian Storage

German firm TRICERA energy and Algerian company IRIS JC INDUSTRIAL have formalized a strategic partnership through a memorandum of understanding. This agreement focuses on developing battery energy storage systems (BESS) and hybrid systems that combine photovoltaic and storage technologies within Algeria. The initiative is set to reinforce Algeria's energy storage capabilities and contribute to a stable and sustainable energy supply for the country's future.

The memorandum was concluded on August 4, 2026, in Berlin, on the sidelines of the German-Algerian Economic Forum, which was dedicated to green hydrogen. This event coincided with the Algerian president's visit to Germany, accompanied by a substantial business delegation, for discussions with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. Both nations have expressed a shared goal of further strengthening their bilateral economic cooperation. The partnership also extends its scope to renewable energy projects across Africa, with both companies intending to jointly bid for public and private tenders.

Under the terms of the agreement, TRICERA energy brings its technological expertise in advanced energy storage, BESS solutions, and smart energy management systems. IRIS JC INDUSTRIAL is a recognized player in the Algerian market, specializing in hybrid photovoltaic systems, off-grid and on-grid power supply installations, and battery energy storage systems, leveraging extensive local experience in their development, integration, and implementation. The collaboration includes the development of pilot projects, demonstration facilities, and technology platforms dedicated to large-scale storage. The memorandum was signed by Mourad Louadah, Chief Executive Officer of IRIS JC INDUSTRIAL, and Tim Müller, Chief Technology Officer of TRICERA energy. Additionally, Drifa Merabet will serve as TRICERA's representative in the Algerian market, tasked with supporting the partnership, driving business development, and coordinating strategic exchanges, drawing on her extensive network and experience in supporting Algeria's energy sector transition toward renewables.
