Soukrel Implements Special Program for Eid al-Adha

The National Company for the Operation and Management of Land Passenger Transport Stations, “Soukrel,” has developed a special program for Eid al-Adha, including the scheduling of 4,800 long-distance trips across various land stations, according to a company statement.

The statement detailed that Soukrel has set up an exceptional program for Eid al-Adha starting from yesterday until the first day of the holiday, following the directives of the Ministry of Transport.

The program includes the adaptation of 1,500 additional buses and the scheduling of 4,800 long-distance trips daily, with an increase of 30% from various land stations.

Regarding the remaining days of the Eid al-Adha holiday, the company has planned a program that includes scheduling at least one trip to various destinations nationwide through a shift system, the statement added.

In this regard, the company has sent communications to all transport operators, urging them to ensure transport during the specified period to cover the significant flow of passengers, which could exceed 300,000 passengers daily nationwide, according to the same source.

The company has prepared for comfortable travel to various directions with proactive preparations, including opening all ticket sales and booking windows to various destinations, the statement confirmed.

Additionally, Soukrel has implemented a proactive and post-event work plan with various security forces, civil protection, and the national gendarmerie to maintain public order inside the stations and ensure quick intervention in emergencies, especially with the increased number of travelers.

Coordination has also been made with various transport companies that have unused buses or do not have scheduled trips to utilize them to double the number of trips. Moreover, special platforms and trips have been scheduled for transport operators who have received permits from various transport directorates to operate during the holiday.

The number of cleaning, security, and maintenance personnel at all stations will be doubled by suspending all weekly and compensatory leaves for all workers until after the holiday.

Furthermore, the company has decided to operate on a shift system at all land stations to ensure 24/7 service and to send communications to managers of all service facilities within the stations to ensure presence during the blessed Eid days.
