Zitouni Calls for Innovative Strategy to Promote National Products

Trade and Export Promotion Minister, Tayeb Zitouni, chaired an evaluation meeting at the ministry headquarters to assess the performance of “Tasdir,” a subsidiary of the Algerian Company for Exhibitions and Exports. The meeting reviewed the results of permanent exhibitions for national products in Nouakchott, Mauritania, and Dakar, Senegal.

During the session, Zitouni emphasized the need to develop a comprehensive roadmap for “Tasdir” that aligns with the strategic goals set by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. He called for adopting a holistic economic approach to meet these objectives.

Zitouni also stressed the importance of improving administrative performance and enhancing the quality of services provided to both local and international partners. He highlighted the need to intensify promotional efforts to attract more business partners in the Mauritanian and Senegalese markets.

Furthermore, he pointed out that supporting the promotion of national products and encouraging participation in permanent exhibitions are key pillars in Algeria’s general strategy to boost exports. He urged all economic operators to engage actively in permanent exhibitions and promotional activities aimed at showcasing Algerian products in foreign markets.

Zitouni called for the adoption of innovative media strategies to widely promote Algerian products, which would help raise awareness of the competitiveness of local industries.

At the end of the meeting, the minister reiterated the pivotal role of “Tasdir” in strengthening Algeria’s economic presence regionally and internationally. He urged the company to explore strategic partnerships to expand its cooperation network and provide more opportunities for Algerian exhibitors and exporters to reach new markets.
