Bougali Attends Sandinista Revolution Anniversary in Nicaragua on Behalf of President Tebboune

Ibrahim Bougali, President of the National People’s Assembly, attended the 45th anniversary celebration of the Sandinista Revolution in Nicaragua as a representative of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, leading a parliamentary delegation.

According to a statement from the assembly, the official ceremony took place in Managua, the capital of Nicaragua, with the presence of representatives from friendly nations.

In his speech, Bougali conveyed President Tebboune’s greetings, emphasizing his assignment to affirm the deep historical and political ties between the two nations, which aspire to expand these relations economically and culturally. He congratulated Nicaragua’s leadership and people, wishing them continued progress and prosperity.

Bougali arrived in Managua on July 17, appointed by President Tebboune to represent him at the anniversary celebration. During his visit, Bougali held a series of meetings with senior Nicaraguan officials, including the Foreign Minister and the President of the National Assembly of Nicaragua, as well as the Vice President of the Central American Parliament.

In these meetings, Bougali conveyed the “sentiments of friendship that bind the two peoples and nations,” and praised their shared stances, particularly regarding liberation and anti-colonial struggles. The Palestinian and Sahrawi issues were central in all bilateral discussions, given the shared perspectives against colonialism and occupation.

Bougali also expressed Algeria’s readiness, under the leadership of President Tebboune, to enhance bilateral relations, especially in the economic sector. He highlighted Algeria’s efforts to create a conducive environment for business and investment, establishing a state of institutions and updating laws to align with the new direction initiated since President Tebboune’s election.
