Celebrating an enriched cultural panorama, this year’s edition is poised to be a vibrant hub for literary aficionados, thought leaders, and the general public alike.

Starting at 11:00 AM, Minister of Culture and Arts Souraya Moulougi will inaugurate the cultural activities at the “African Space” located within the central pavilion. The venue is expected to serve as a platform for a multitude of activities and events designed to engage visitors throughout the fair’s duration.

“This year’s fair is particularly significant as we welcome 1,283 publishing houses from as many as 61 countries, shining a spotlight on the literary contributions of Africa,” said an official spokesperson. Indeed, the theme of honoring Africa underscores the scope and diversity of the fair, encapsulating the essence of continental unity and intellectual exchange.

This range encompasses lectures, panel discussions, and meetings, featuring renowned literary figures from Algeria, Africa, and the Arab world.

In summary, the 26th Algeria International Book Fair promises not only to be a confluence of global literature but also an arena for robust intellectual discourse.
