Algeria and Beijing Strengthen Ties through Experience and Knowledge Exchange

The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Interior, Local Communities, and Urban Planning of Algeria, El Arabi Merzouk, warmly welcomed a delegation from the Chinese National Academy of Governance, led by the Deputy Executive President Gong Weibin, at the ministry’s headquarters this Sunday. According to the ministry’s press release, a joint work program for the year 2024 was signed, marking another step in the continuous effort to enrich and accelerate the bilateral cooperation between the Algerian ministry and the Chinese academy.

In his address, the Secretary-General emphasized that the meeting serves as another valuable opportunity to bolster and enrich cooperative activities in training and the exchange of experiences and expertise.

He further stated, “This meeting follows the state visit conducted by President Tebboune to the People’s Republic of China, which stands as a testament to the genuine and longstanding solidarity and cooperative relations between our two countries. The visit, which achieved great success across various levels, resulted in a consensus to intensify all forms of political consultation and security cooperation, along with deepening the economic partnership and enhancing exchanges in various domains.”

The Secretary-General added, “The visit, coming just after Algeria’s celebration of the sixty-ninth anniversary of the outbreak of the glorious Revolution of Liberation on November 1st, 1954, is a solid indicator of the strong cooperative and partnership relations that bind the peoples of these two friendly nations.” Algeria and Beijing Strengthen Ties.

He concluded by noting that today’s meeting would pave the way for further exploration of how to enhance the distinguished partnership between the nations, aiming to elevate it to a level befitting the trust and cooperation that characterizes the relationship between the two countries.
