Israeli Forces Arrest 85 Palestinians in West Bank and Jerusalem

Israeli military forces have detained 85 Palestinians across various areas of the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. The Palestinian Prisoner’s Club reported that the arrests were concentrated in the town of Dura, south of Hebron, and the villages of Amatin and Far’ata, east of Qalqilya, as well as in the provinces of Nablus, Bethlehem, Jenin, Ramallah, and occupied Jerusalem.

Additionally, Israeli forces arrested two citizens in the city of Jericho following a second incursion into the city within a few hours. Meanwhile, Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported that the Israeli military stormed the outskirts of the Far’a Camp south of Tubas in the northern West Bank, triggering heavy gunfire from resistance fighters targeting their military vehicles.

Local Palestinian platforms have released footage showing Israeli military reinforcements heading towards the village of Mughayyir to conduct raids and arrests. Consequently, the total number of Palestinians detained in the West Bank since October 7 has risen to 2,735.

Explosion Targets Israeli Military Vehicle

In a separate incident, the Tulkarm battalion of the Al-Quds Brigades, released a video on Wednesday, claiming to show an explosive device detonating near an Israeli military vehicle near the Nur Shams camp in the Tulkarm governorate of the West Bank. The battalion stated that the explosion damaged the vehicle and injured its occupants.

The West Bank is witnessing widespread Israeli clashes, arrests, and incursions following the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation. These events have led to the death of approximately 197 Palestinians and injuries to 2,700 others, coinciding with the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
